Technion–Israel Institute of Technology is a public research university in Haifa, Israel. Founded in 1912, Technion is the country’s oldest university. The institute offers degrees in science and engineering, and related fields such as architecture, medicine, industrial management and education. Although the official language of instruction at Technion is Hebrew, several undergraduate and graduate study programs and courses are taught in English through Technion International.

ABOUT COURSE

The Study Abroad program is offered through Technion International and is taught in English. The Program offers a challenging and intensive course load that can be tailored to meet each student’s specific interests as well as ensuring their ability to meet specific prerequisites or course requirements for their home universities or prospective graduate or advanced studies. Courses are offered in fields of:
Engineering and Science
Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Medicine
Humanities
Students may also enroll for an additional fee in a conversational Hebrew course. Students with sufficient language proficiency may be eligible to take regular Technion courses taught in Hebrew.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

1. REQUIREMENTS

Admission to the Semester Abroad program requires a GPA of 80/3.0 and above
Since the academic program at Technion International is taught entirely in English , applicants are required to demonstrate their english proficiency before thrie enrollment . Applicants from countries where English is not the primary language may be required to undergo an interview in English.

2. APPLICATION PROCEDURE

3. APPLICATION DOCUMENTS

1) Completed Application Form
2) Two letters of recommendation*
3) A personal statement outlining why you want to study at Technion
4) Resume with passport size picture
5)Transcripts (original or approved copies)
6)$ 50 (USD) non-refundable application fee
7)Students from non-English speaking countries must either undergo a personal interview or submit their TOFEL/IELTS scores

*An original copy must be sent to the Admissions Office directly from the evaluator.

4. VISA REQUIREMENTS

The student A/2 visa is intended for students who have been admitted to an educational institution in Israel. Students who are entering Israel in order to participate in an educational program must apply for a student visa. Exchange students must apply for a Student Visa at the Israeli Consulate in their home country.
